‘No No’ first single sets the tone for Nee Nange Allava

Updated on

A song can sometimes reveal where a film wants to take its audience. In Nee Nange Allava, the first single, ‘No No’, introduces a romance that begins with a feeling that is not necessarily returned. The song, released recently, brings together the film’s lead pair, Rahul Arcot and Kaashima, and is positioned as a one-sided love song.

Directed by Manoj P Nadalmane and produced by Jayaram Devasamudra under the Suram Movies banner, Nee Nange Allava revolves around the emotional space between a lover waiting for an answer and the person he hopes will give it.

What makes the song unusual is that its director has also written and sung it. Suraj Jois has composed the music, while Abhishek Matad has choreographed the track. Sanjana Anand and Rashika launched the song, which was released through the Saregama YouTube channel.

For Manoj Nadalumane, the song is a personal contribution to the film. “The song can be called a one-sided love song. The lover is waiting for the woman he loves and expresses his feelings through the song. I wrote and sang it myself, and Suraj Jois music has added to its impact,” he said at the launch.

The film is Manoj Nadalumane’s latest feature after his directorial debut Aana. The director has once again taken on multiple responsibilities, but this time the song gives audiences an early indication of the emotional thread running through the story.

Producer Jayaram Devasamudra says the music was one of the areas where the team found itself debating over what to present first. “Every song has turned out well, so there was a competition among us about which one should be released first,” he said. He also said he recently watched the completed film and was happy with how it had shaped up.

The launch event also brought together members of the film’s cast and crew. Rahul Arcot and Kaashima spoke about their experience of shooting the song, while Suraj Jois shared details about its composition. The film also stars Aarthi Padubidri, Tarak Master, Bhavana Chandra and Rohith, With cinematographer by Uday Leela, the film has editing by Nagendra Ujjani.
