Welcome to our weekly rundown of new music – featuring must-hear singles, statement-making EPs and albums and key tracks.

This week, pop artist Shannon K gets a bit savage with swagger on “Not My Shade,” while Girish And The Chronicles kick off a new era (arguably) with their song “Disintegrate” marking a modern rock/metal edge while keeping some classic heavy metal elements intact for the title track off their upcoming album. Marathi house pioneering DJ-producer Kratex teams up with creator Saiman Says for the hilarious “Bro Maajhi Babe Nahi Saapdat Mala” and New Delhi-origin guitarist, producer and actor Moses Koul (from Kraken) makes his solo debut on “Jee Le” that’s a romantic song with a side of guitar noodling.

On the collaborations front, Ajay Bijli and Amit Trivedi team up once again, this time for a three-track EP simply called On Another Note… from the entertainment entrepreneur. Pop artist Celina Sharma and Sonu Nigam are powerful in their own ways on “Centre of Peace,” and seasoned South Indian vocalist Devan Ekambaram and Tamil artist Susha interpret pioneering poet Bharathiar’s work evocatively on “Varuvaaiy.”
