Singer-songwriter Prateek Kuhad has been announced to make his acting debut with Doobna. The upcoming musical drama will be directed by Dar Gai, who has directed music videos for Prateek's 'cold/mess' and 'Kasoor'.

Dar is producing Doobna along with Dheer Momaya under Jugaad banner, with Sanjay M Sharma and Milan Chakraborty producing under the Marginal Entertainment banner, with Abhi Kanakadandila who produces under the D36 banner. The above mentioned people have collectively written the story for the film, reported Variety.

In Doobna, Prateek will play Tarush, who is an indie musician who gets caught in the clutches of the criminal owner of a record label.

Prateek is known for singles like 'Co2' and 'Kasoor', and has contributed to soundtracks for films like Baar Baar Dekho (2016) and Ajeeb Daastaans (2021). His latest album, titled Full Moon Chamber, was released in July. The album consists of 14 tracks, and is in the pop genre.
